Max Osburn is one of those young men everyone knows and loves. He’s full of life, loves the outdoors, and lives his life grounded in strong faith. On what should have been a normal day fishing at the Waverly Boat Ramp, Max’s life was forever changed by a senseless act of violence. While walking back to his truck, he was confronted and shot multiple times. By God’s grace, Max survived. He was airlifted to Tupelo for emergency surgery, later transferred to Memphis for further care, and continues to receive therapy now at Shepard Center in Atlanta, GA, for his injuries, including paralysis from the waist down. Through it all, Max remains alert, aware, and unmistakably himself, faith intact, humor still shining through.
The road ahead won’t be easy. Max’s recovery will be long, uncertain, and filled with challenges no family should have to face alone. His mama has been by his side every step of the way. She is very blessed to be able to work remotely for the W this semester. She is doing whatever it takes to be there for her son. The full impact of his injuries is still unfolding, but one thing is certain, this family needs continued support.
That’s where we come in. Our community has already shown up in powerful ways, and now we’re asking you to do it again. Join us for a fish fry and raffle to help support Max and his mom. Buy a catfish plate. Grab a raffle ticket. Say a prayer. Come stand beside a family walking through the valley and remind them they’re not walking alone. Scripture tells us to carry one another’s burdens, and this is our chance to do just that.
Let’s show up, show out, and cover Max Osburn and his mom in love, prayer, and support on Sunday, February 1st at Zachary’s from 11-2!
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
